37e édition de Jazz en tête à Clermont-Ferrand
Come swing at the Maison de la culture de Clermont-Ferrand! The international Jazz en tête festival will be held from October 22 to 26, 2024, with great headliners this year again.
In more than 30 years, the Jazz en tête festival, less than 30 minutes from our hotel-restaurant Les Hirondelles d'Orcines, has presented more than 3,000 musicians.
Young talents and big names in jazz perform every year on the stage of the Maison de la culture de Clermont-Ferrand.
The 2024 edition will be eclectic again and during these 5 days, the city will vibrate to the sound of saxophones, double basses, trumpets and pianos.
You don't need to be a jazz fan to go to the festival. You will definitely appreciate the talent of the artists present. Starting with Sean Mason and his quartet, who will open the show.
Sean Mason taught himself the piano and at 24, he has just signed his first album, which reflects his creative spirit!
After this first rhythmic concert, it will be the turn of Bill Mobley Jet all Stars to take to the stage of the Maison de la Culture in Clermont-Ferrand.
A conductor, arranger, and outstanding soloist, the trumpeter returns with a dream quartet - piano, double bass and drums.
Don't miss Baptiste Herbin, a regular at the Jazz en tête festival, on October 23, surrounded by his acolytes Sylvain Romano and André Ceccarelli.
The musician, who won the Django-Reinhardt prize from the Jazz Academy, pays tribute to the great guitarist. With a big surprise!
Exclusively for the festival, he will be joined by Simon Moulier, a young vibraphonist prodigy who is causing a sensation in New York.
Are you a blues fan? You'll love the second concert of the evening! James Carter, a genius multi-instrumentalist, will enchant the audience as always.
This showman at heart, with irresistible lyrical and funky flights of fancy, pays tribute to another renowned saxophonist, Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis.
The other evenings will also feature talented artists, including Christie Dashiell. Her latest album, Journey in Black, a blend of jazz and soul, has been critically acclaimed.
